Our Research & Planning Team had been given a set of challenges which they very competently tackled and come up with solutions for, but these very solutions were challenges for our Design and Development team who had the task of Delivering what the Research & Planning Team had conceived.

A challenge is what our experienced and highly skilled group of Web Designers and Web Programmers that form the Design & Development Team are always up for. The Project Manager first listed down what the Research & Planning Team aimed at targeting in each module and accordingly brainstormed with his team how best they could be delivered.

eCreeds has always been admired for its High End Designs and this something no one at eCreeds would want to change. We believe that a really High End website Design is not something that only looks good, but one that also feels good and work GREAT for its users.

Days and Nights of work from our Design & Development team resulted in completion of the site way before schedule like always …and as far as the challenges that the Research & Planning team put for the Design & Development team!! they did not only stand up to it but took the whole process a step forward with this added feature where every listing on the site could be downloaded in PDF (Portable Document Format) and printed as a handy brochure for that listing.

DESIGN: Like with all of our websites, the Site Layout was done by specialist Web Site Layout Designer who has been designing Website layout for seven years now, bringing to the table not only his Creative inputs but also all these years of rich website layout designing experience. With this site this Art School Graduate had completed ten thousand published website designs hence he deserved this special mention.

WYSIWYG EDITOR: Give the client the free hand is like giving your kids water colors to paint with, this makes both you and your kids happy but at the end of the day you’ll have your kids paint not only on the canvas but also outside of it. The Design & Development Team too wanted to be happy parents hence they gave the Site a FCK Editor, one of the best WYSIWYG Editor. But then again we knew that, at the Client’s end only one operator wouldn’t be adding a property listing and the site could end up with every second listing looking different from the previous one because every human being is different and so is their design sense. This is where the Project Manager showed why he was what he was; he drew the lines!! divided the property listings module into sections, parts which just needed a number or value to be entered like number of bedrooms from parts which where just to be listed like the features and so on Finally FCK editor was on the top of it for the Property Description. As far as the Newsletter module went we added an option for newsletter templates some of which we designed and some they could to with the tips penned down by our Internet Marketing team (the Guys from eCreeds who make those great looking Newsletters as part of our mailing solutions). and FCK Editor could be easily used to added content on top those templates.

PHOTO GALLERY: One of the challenges was to allow unlimited number of photographs to be uploaded for every listing as they were the best display of the properties a seller could have on the website for any prospect buyer further they also wanted images to be shown as thumbnails first for faster download and then let the user decide which picture he would like to look at without creating a clutter which was really difficult, But difficult is something that the Design & Development are always game for. The Design & Development Team packed in to this high end Real Estate Website a really cool Photo Gallery option. In the Backend they gave a feature for selecting which would be the default picture which would show on main listings page unlike others where it is always the first one uploaded. Further on main description page on the site all images uploaded keeps changing in a constant loop it looks like a beautiful flash but java is used for this, furthermore to reduce clutter instead of showing thumbnails there are numbers given to each images like 1, 2, 3 and on mouse over you can see a thumbnail, creating a great user experience and the actual display of photographs on the website which was created using Light box script (a JavaScript), is a truly captivating user experience which works in such a manner that the focus is only on the images being displayed and nothing else, the image is loaded in the centre of the page and rest of the page dimmed out.

"At first when they told me how long they would take to complete the project, I thought to myself they were kidding me, as my previous site which wasn’t even half of what this is had taken longer. and then when the eCreeds team told me that they finished the site fifteen days before the schedule deadline… I was expecting the worst. But even after three months of being live I have no reason to complain and they have given more than what I wanted at the same price."
